ALTERNATE REALITIES \ HUMBOLDT \ ARCHITIZER CHALLENGE 2020
"A typical morning. In a world that could have been. Atop and in-between the hills that separate Caracas and an endless ocean sits the Humboldt Hotel. A piece of history that might have been forgotten by time in another realm. However; the space represented in my vision is an idealized present timeline. An exercise of appreciation for the history of the place".
Where architecture becomes a mixture of small stories. The reinterpretation used unique engineering features within the site that at the time of its creation were considered ground-breaking to develop a symbiosis of new interactions. A ‘new’ location where Venezuelan pieces converge and create a mix of designs that synthesize the identity of the culture. This image reflects a space where the ideas of the past educate the goals of the present. An alternate reality."
The layering process allows for exploration of depth within the image. It became an additive process where the final product came to be.
